He couldn’t hear her words as they skied, but I could. “You make me brave.” Newly 3-year-old Emi said to her Papa. I watched them soar past me, tears in my eyes, so grateful for their connection. Three years later, it happened again. Me listening, tearing up, witnessing in awe as six-year-old Emi and her papa flew down the mountain together—my heart doing the squeezy squeeze. 💓✨ I’ve watched these two—my husband and daughter—navigate a deep connection over the years. I’ve watched my husband pour his heart and soul into his relationship with our children in a way that inspires me daily. He’s not just learning how to support them in a beautiful way—he’s doing the inner work to heal and grow himself so he can show up for them in the ways they need, so they can grow into healthy, resilient individuals who believe in themselves. And because of that, our kids are thriving. ✨u2028And because of that, I feel supported as their mother. When I posted the original “You make me brave” video, 20 million of you across platforms watched, shared, and commented. It touched you, too. And I love that the most hearted comment of all was: u2028“I love how this 3-year-old is healing so many of us just by existing.” It’s them. It’s their connection that is healing because it’s in their connection that she expresses herself so poignantly. Emi & Doug’s bond will continue to grow, and I can’t wait to witness it in awe. @Stio Outdoor Apparel @Sun Valley Resort @ikonpass
